COVID-19 Vaccination Programme

We are proudly working alongside our colleagues in the East Cleveland Group to deliver the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme. The East Cleveland Group Primary Care Network includes Springwood Surgery, Brotton Surgery, Hillside Practice, Woodside Practice and The Garth Surgery. 

We are currently contacting patients who had their first AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination here at Springwood Surgery after 21st February, to invite patients for their second dose of the vaccine. Please do not contact us, we will contact you as soon as we have an appointment available.

We are also contacting patients who had their first Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination between the 19th to the 25th February, to invite patients for their second dose of the vaccine. Again, please do not contact us, we will contact you as soon as there is an appointment available.

Clinics for the Pfizer vaccine will be held at Hillside Practice in Skelton.

If you have not been invited yet, please do not contact any of the practices directly. We will be in touch as soon as it is your turn to be vaccinated.

COVID-19 Service Update

We apologise if you are having difficulty trying to speak to a member of our reception team by telephone.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, our team have had to include additional duties within their typical work routines whilst also maintaining social distancing measures. This has impacted on how many staff we have available at any one time to answer phone calls safely. Additionally, the influenza immunisation programme has just commenced and the demand for vaccination appointments this year is greater than in previous years and with more people eligible this year due to the COVID-19 virus. Face to face appointments are also taking longer due to disinfecting regimes and replacement of PPE.

If you are trying to contact us to book an appointment please try and use the online services option rather than telephone.

Additionally, we have a new system available which allows you to take part in an online e-consultation. A series of questions will help determine whether you can self-help with the provided information or if you need to see a clinician. If the recommendation is to see a GP you will be contacted by a member of our team within 48 hours of completing the e-consultation.

NHS 111 is always available by telephone and online as well as out-of-hours walk-in centres within our locality. Please only use 999 or Accident and Emergency (A&E) for emergencies. If you have any queries or concerns about COVID-19 test results please telephone 119.
